With the cost-of-living climbing, Cancer Council Tasmania needs your help to continue providing free support to Tasmanians facing the emotional and financial stress of a cancer diagnosis.
Help us reach our $80,000 goal.
By making an urgent, tax-deductible gift, you can help Cancer Council Tasmania provide free, practical support to the growing number of people turning to us for assistance. These are people like Suzi, who was forced to stop working after her diagnosis, leading to significant financial pressure when she was already facing unexpected medical expenses and the stress of an uncertain future.
Every day, more than 11 people in Tasmania like Suzi are diagnosed with cancer.
As they face unexpected medical expenses, the prospect of losing work, and the stress of an uncertain future, many will turn to Cancer Council Tasmania for support.
After moving to Tasmania, Suzi built a life for herself, working in cafés, baking, caring for others, and becoming part of her local community.
But everything changed when she was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer and doctors said Suzi would need to stop working.
At the very moment she needed financial security the most, Suzi’s income disappeared. And her worries about the future just kept growing.
With the cost of petrol and household expenses continuing to rise, the loss of a job and unexpected medical bills mean many people like Suzi are often stretched beyond their limits.
Your tax-deductible donation before 30 June can help provide emotional and financial support to the growing numbers of people like Suzi who are turning to us for help right now. Please give today.
The reality is that with the cost of living increasing, more and more people like Suzi will turn to us in the months ahead.
All our services are provided to Tasmanians impacted by cancer at no cost. But we can only continue to do this with your help – because over 85% of our funding comes from the Tasmanian community.
Your urgent donation before 30 June will help ensure Cancer Council Tasmania can continue to be there for people like Suzi.
Thank you for giving generously.
