Prizes
Early Bird/ Bonus Draw Prize: Darwin Weekend Getaway at DoubleTree by Hilton – 2-night stay including breakfast at DoubleTree by Hilton Esplanade, Darwin.
Major Prize: MG ZS SUV in blue (valued at $25,933.00) OR $10,000 cash prize.
All tickets must be purchased online by credit or debit card, or PayPal.
Purchasers must be aged 18 years or older. Only 15,559 tickets at $5 each will be sold. All winners will be notified in writing. The first name, initial of the last name, and winning ticket number of all prize winners will be published online within 14 days by print and social media after final Major Prize Draw on the Cancer Council NT Raffle website and Cancer Council NT Facebook page (facebook.com/cancernt).
To claim a prize each winner must present documentation to meet the 100-point proof of identity. This equates to their current driver’s licence and passport or birth certificate. The winner must also provide their official winning Raffle ticket to claim their prize.
All times and dates published on our website, in our promotional material and in these Terms and Conditions are listed in Australian Central Standard Time (ACST) unless otherwise stated.
Publicity
The Promoter may use prize winners’ details for promotional purposes. By entering the Promotion, the Major Prize Winner agrees to participate in reasonable media activities concerning the Promotion and to photographs or video of the winner being used for the Promoter’s marketing and promotional activities (both in print and on the internet).

Early Bird Prize Details
There is one Early Bird/Bonus Draw: ‘Darwin Weekend Getaway at DoubleTree by Hilton’ Location: Esplanade, Darwin. This prize is 2-nights’ accommodation including breakfast at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Esplanade Darwin, valued at $600. This prize is only redeemable at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Esplanade Darwin. This prize is not redeemable for cash. Booking subject to Hilton Hotel Esplanade Darwin terms and conditions.
The winners must claim their prize as soon as possible by providing 100 points of certified ID to Cancer Council NT and their official winning Raffle ticket to Cancer Council NT.
All tickets purchased prior to 23:59, Saturday 29 June 2024 will be included in the lottery Early Bird/Bonus Draw. Winner of the Early Bird Prize will be re-entered into the Major Prize Draw.
Major/First Prize Details
MG ZS SUV vehicle in blue, supplied by Darwin Motor Group valued at $25,900 OR $10,000 cash.
The winner has 72 hours from receiving our written notification to confirm their choice of the MG ZS SUV in blue valued at $25,900 OR $10,000 cash and claim the prize.
Should the winner choose to take the car instead of the cash, the prize will be awarded as stated, one MG ZS SUV in blue.
The car, awarded by Darwin Motor Group, is new and unencumbered and will have all on-road costs paid, including the registration fee. The winner will need to arrange and pay for their own motor vehicle insurance costs. Cancer Council NT will transport the vehicle to any capital city on the Australian mainland, covering the costs.
Should the winner choose to take the cash instead of the car, the winner will need to provide a copy of their bank statement outlining Account BSB, Account Number and Account Name to Cancer Council NT. The funds will be transferred in Australian dollars to a bank account in the name of the winner by electronic funds transfer within seven days of claiming.
The winner must respond as soon as possible once receiving our written notification to claim the prize, by providing 100 points of certified ID to Cancer Council NT and their official winning Raffle ticket.
All tickets purchased prior to 11:59, Thursday 12 December 2024 will be included in the Major Prize Draw. If all 15, 559 tickets sell out prior to the Early Bird/Bonus Draw, the Major Prize winners will be drawn and notified in line with the Early Bird/Bonus Draw.
Conduct of draws
Both prize draws will be drawn at random and will be conducted by executives of Cancer Council NT at its offices at Unit 2, 25 Vanderlin Drive, Wanguri, NT, 0810.
Unclaimed prizes will be dealt with in accordance with the procedures set out in the Gaming Control (Community Gaming) Regulations (2006).
Refunds
Refunds are generally not accepted. If a refund is endorsed by Cancer Council NT, the request will need written approval of Licensing NT. This process may take several weeks. Refunds cannot be issued after the prize draws.
Changes
Where it is lawful to do so, these Terms and Conditions may be updated to address any errors or to clarify information and re-published online at nt.cancer.org.au.
Purchasers
Excluded purchasers
Tickets must not be purchased by: Cancer Council NT, its board members, executive team members, and employees who have been involved in the organisation of the Raffle. During the conduct of a draw, if the Cancer Council NT CEO (or delegate) conducting the draw is satisfied that an excluded purchaser is a prize winner, then the relevant prize will be re-drawn. If the Cancer Council NT CEO (or delegate) is satisfied after the conclusion of the draw but before a prize has been collected that an excluded purchaser is a prize winner, then the excluded purchaser will not be entitled to collect the prize. The decision of the Cancer Council NT CEO (or delegate) will be final and binding.
Confirming winners
If there is any doubt or dispute as to the identity of the winner or as to the way the prize is to be paid, then the matter will be referred to the Cancer Council NT CEO (or delegate) for resolution.
The decision of the CEO shall be final and binding. The CEO will not be acting as an arbitrator and the CEO’s decision shall not be subject to challenge or review.
Acceptance
By participating in the Cancer Council NT Raffle, you are deemed to accept these Terms and Conditions.
We need to collect personal information to process your purchase, verify you are over 18, notify you if you are a winner, communicate with you about other Cancer Council NT Raffles and initiatives, and conduct normal business. By providing your personal information, you agree that your information will be used and disclosed by Cancer Council NT in accordance with this Collection Statement and our Privacy Policy.
