The Pink Ladies Long Lunch is an annual fundraising event in Darwin that celebrates, advocates, and raises vital funds for women's health awareness and care during October - Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Sex and the City helped turn breast cancer awareness into something personal, emotional, and empowering—not just medical.

Samantha Jones’ journey in Sex and the City is more than a storyline, it’s a powerful reminder of courage, resilience, and the strength every woman carries within her. Known for her confidence and unapologetic spirit, Samantha’s breast cancer diagnosis shows us that even the strongest among us can face unexpected battles. Yet, what defines her is not the diagnosis, it’s how she rises to meet it.

A powerful reminder to prioritize your health, your voice, and yourself.

This played a crucial role in laying the groundwork for an increased focus on women's health, including cancer screenings such as opportunistic cervical screening which began in Australia in the 1960s, and this trajectory resulting in national screening programs for Breast Cancer and Cervical Cancer.

This afternoon let’s celebrate the power of women by encouraging, supporting, and accepting each other just as we are. 💖

This event is great way to catch-up with your friends over a long lunch while supporting those those affected by breast and gynecological cancers.

We can't wait to have a great afternoon with you!

Event Highlights

Today, get dress in PINK, we carry that message forward.
This is more than awareness, it’s action.
More than a story, it’s a call to care for ourselves and for one another.

Because early detection can save lives.
Because support makes us stronger.
And because every woman deserves to feel empowered to take control of her health.

So let this be your reminder:
Check. Prioritize. Speak up. Show up.
