The Andrews Sisters Tribute Show

Sisters of Swing

THE ORIGINAL ANDREWS SISTERS

1940's wartime, The Andrews Sisters were America's most popular female singing group, dubbed the "Sweethearts of the Forces"
During the Andrews Sisters career, they sold over 90 million records, recorded around 700 songs, earned 9 gold records and appeared in 17 Hollywood movies!
The girls still remain one of the best selling female groups of all time.
WW2 was a dark period, The Andrews Sisters brought laughter & happiness for many people. They participated in an 8 week USO tour & performed for thousands of servicemen.

WE TRIBUTE THE ANDREWS SISTERS

In 1995 Linda was asked to be part of a show to pay tribute to The Andrews Sisters for a Conference in Darwin. While we had heard of those famous songs such as "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" " Don't sit under the apple tree" "In the mood" "Apple blossom time," it wasn't until rehearsal for the show that the intricate harmonies of the Andrews Sisters were fully appreciated.
The troupe travelled to several parts of Australia entertaining audiences. In 2005 Linda returned to Darwin and formed a new group, they continue to captivate audiences by their portrayal of the original sweethearts of the forces, The Andrews Sisters.
This superb vocal group's rich, warm vocals will stun and transport audiences back in time.
Its always a favourite to look back on and remember a fabulous night had by all!
