About Relay For Life

Relay For Life is the largest fundraising event in the world and in 2020, we are celebrating over 20 years of Relay in Australia with an exciting new virtual event that will unite every state and community—at a time when we are physically unable to step out together.

Based on the traditional Cancer Council Relay For Life events, Relay Australia is a virtual fundraising event that allows communities and individuals Australia-wide to step out together, fundraise and move the virtual baton around the country to celebrate, remember and fight back against cancer.

Whether you have been impacted by a cancer diagnosis yourself, are a family member, loved one, carer or if you have lost someone to cancer, are a Relay veteran or new to the idea, Relay Australia is a way for us all to connect and make a difference.

The event is almost as big as our goal to move the virtual Relay baton around Australia 20 times (that’s 200,000kms) to commemorate not only 20 incredible years of Relay in Australia, but also 20 years of making strides against cancer.

Do you think we can do it?

Every dollar donated helps to move the baton 1km, which means the bigger the donations and the more people involved, the closer we will be able to get to our goal—and more importantly, towards a cancer free future.

Show your support for Australians impacted by cancer. Donate, help move the baton around Australia and help fund vital support services and ground-breaking research into better ways to detect and treat cancer.

Celebrate, remember, and fight for a cancer free future today and step out with Relay Australia.
